Llewela's career covers almost 30 years in broadcasting. After several years in radio she was seen on screen with ITV on an almost daily basis for 20 years. Known affectionately as "screen wife" to veteran anchorman Bob Warman, Llewela helped form part of the presentation team with the UK's biggest regional news programme.

Three years ago Llewela took on the lunchtime news which, because of it's extended duration became a mini-programme in it's own right. This gave Llewela a lot more scope for some meaty interviews. One chat was with Gordon Ramsey, who'd agreed to be interviewed at the last minute. With little time for research, Llewela says she just made up the interview as she went along and the result caused much hilarity, especially amongst the viewers some of whom still mention it to this day.

The interview with Donny Osmond was very much the same. She'd been sent out to do the live interview for the main evening programme and described the man as "simply gorgeous".

Apart from the light subjects, Llewela is also a serious reporter. Two years ago, she did a six part series on Acorns children's hospice in the West Midlands. It was a humbling experience but the weeks spent filming was anything but depressing. As anyone who has had a glimpse will know, it provides a positive approach to the unthinkable. Something Llewela achieved in putting across.

Llewela spent the beginning of 2008 in the Ukraine. With ITV cameraman Pat Fenelon, the pair spent several difficult days tracking down "the sewer" children - youngsters who live rough underground. The authorities were not happy in highlighting what is a major embarrassment to the country, and so finding the children proved difficult. The two part item went on to be nominated for an RTS award.
